I’m trying to think beyond this slump, to keep my mind on the positive. I am taking a moment to think about all the positive things about being active – from the internal rewards such as healthy blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol to the external and outward rewards of feeling great with energy galore.
While the bigger, grandiose goals – from Machu Picchu to Yosemite – are more exciting to talk about and fantasize about – the more amazing and worthwhile venture is just being healthy.
So this week, I’m focusing on getting my exercise in and playing with my girls. I'm continuing the BistroMD program - even if I was a little off track last month. The most awesome thing I can be is an active, loving and healthy self, wife and mother.
This is what we do one step at a time when we commit to fitness, no matter where we are on the scale. This is why it is so important to be active – to live our lives to the absolute fullest.
Happy Trails,
